Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the Codeator website. The site presents our services and our own products, and it has no user accounts, no shopping carts and no payments. It covers this website only, and not the apps and products we make or the systems we build for clients.
The data that reaches us
The only personal data we receive is what you send us yourself. Through the Start a project form, that is the service you pick, your name, your company, phone number and email address if you add them, and whatever you tell us about the project. The Odoo section’s consultation form also asks for your job title and about your group’s companies and their systems.
When you press a form’s send button, your browser sends what you entered to Codeator’s own server, together with the page you sent it from, its language, and the campaign tags of the link that brought you to the site, if it had any. Our server checks the submission and records it as an enquiry in our customer system, Odoo, a business application that Odoo S.A. hosts for us. The server keeps a copy of each submission for a short period, to trace errors, and then deletes it; what stays longer is a log line that holds nothing you entered, only when the submission arrived and whether it went through. The server also notifies our team that a new enquiry has arrived, and that notice carries only your name and the service you chose.
If you use a form’s WhatsApp button, or if the form cannot reach our server, WhatsApp or your email app opens with the message ready, and you send it yourself. The message then passes through WhatsApp, or through your email provider and ours, like any other message.
If you contact us by WhatsApp or by phone instead, we receive your phone number and whatever you write or say to us. WhatsApp is a service of Meta, so a message sent through it is also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
As with any website, the hosting server may keep routine technical logs, such as the IP address, the time of the request and the page requested, for operational and security purposes.
How we use your data
We use what you send for one purpose: replying to your enquiry and continuing the conversation with you about it.
Sharing with other parties
Your data stays with Codeator and with the services that work on our behalf. Enquiries sent through the forms are kept in Odoo, which Odoo S.A. hosts for us, and the notice of a new enquiry reaches us through Telegram, with your name and the service you chose and nothing else. We do not sell your data, rent it or share it with any other party, for marketing or for any other purpose. If the law requires us to disclose information to a competent official authority, we disclose only what is requested of us. If you accept analytics, Google processes visit statistics on our behalf, as described under Cookies and tracking.
Cookies and tracking
With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to count visits and to see which pages lead visitors to contact us. It runs only after you press “Accept” in the notice shown on your first visit; until then nothing is requested from Google and no cookie is set. The legal basis for it is your consent.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, which tell one browser from another, and records the pages you view, the site that referred you, an approximate location derived from your IP address (the address itself is not stored), your type of device and browser, and whether you pressed the WhatsApp, phone or contact buttons. Google processes this data on our behalf, may process it in the United States, and keeps it for at most 14 months. We do not use it for advertising, and Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off.
Your choice is kept in your own browser. You can change it at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, and withdrawing your consent deletes the analytics cookies. Google’s own privacy policy also applies to the data it processes.
Fonts and files
The fonts, images and scripts the site relies on are hosted on the site’s own server, so your browser connects only to our server when you browse its pages. The one exception is Google Analytics: if you accept it, your browser also loads Google’s script and sends it visit statistics. Links that lead to other websites, such as LinkedIn or WhatsApp, are subject to those sites’ own policies once you visit them.
Retention and deletion requests
We keep your correspondence for as long as it is needed to reply to you and to continue working with you. At any time you may ask to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or to have it deleted, by writing to us at [email protected] or on WhatsApp, from the address or number you wrote to us from.
Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy whenever the site or the way it works changes, and we record the date of the last update at the top of the page.
Privacy questions
For any question about this policy or about your data, write to us at [email protected].
